These are my small-scale oil pastel pieces of artwork. They are ideal for hanging on a small area of wall, or in a small room. They are great little affordable pieces of imagination!
All of these items are:
£15 unframed (with a mountboard frame but without solid frame)

All oil pastel pictures are Approx 18 x 18cm (Approx 24 x 24cm with white mountboard frame).
Misty Hills - Oil Pastel
This oil pastel painting is inspired by pedal boating on Lake Geneva in the morning. The mist hadn't lifted and the atmosphere had a thick milky sort of quality. The water reflected the pale mist and sky, and the grey mountain silhouttes could be seen through the blueish purple haze.
Snowy Day - Oil Pastel
The thick snow of the ski slopes in the French Alps in February made me paint this oil pastel painting. I just love the way the snow clumps together on the trees and all tumbles down in a mini avalanche when it becomes too heavy.
Moonlit Ocean - Oil Pastel
The moonlight over the Cote d'Azur in August reflected beautifully on the sea and I had to express this in a piece of artwork. The glowing quality of the moon was hard to capture with the oil pastels as the white glow around the moon has to be just right. Too much and it looks like a grey sky, not enough and you lose the 'glow.'
Tortoiseshell Butterfly - Oil Pastel
This butterfly is a brightly coloured and highly contrasting creature. The oil pastels are great for making the colours stand out.
Hawaiian Lei Flower - Oil Pastel
The petals of this lei flower are multi-tonal with a gradient of colours. They are pretty flowers found nearly everywhere in Hawaii and really popular in local artwork.
Poppy - Oil Pastel
The bold red petals of the poppy stand out against the clear bright sky. This is a simple design which seems to need little else to compliment it.
